Welcome to the School Safety Research Group's Resource Page. The SSRG promotes some of the most current resources in school safety research. GUIDE TO SCHOOL VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENTS: KEY PRINCIPLES FOR SAFE SCHOOLS this publication is a companion guide to the Practical Information on Crisis Planning Guide and provides information on establishing vulnerability assessment teams and selecting vulnerability assessment tools.

Electronic Media and Youth Violence: A CDC Issue Brief for Educators and Caregivers this publication is created in part from information in a special issue of the Journal of Adolescent Health. This journal supplement summarized the data from an expert panel meeting convened by CDC in September 2006.

What Works Practice Guide on Dropout Prevention This publication is geared toward educators, administrators, and policy makers, this guide provides recommendations that focus on reducing high school dropout rates. Strategies presented include identifying and advocating for at-risk students, implementing programs to improve behavior and social skills, and keeping students engaged in the school environment.
